New Change tracking across review history

Storefront compliance review, grounded in primary law.

Seel reviews your policies, listings, and checkout against consumer-protection, privacy, marketing-disclosure, and IP requirements. Every review item carries the statutory source, the captured storefront evidence, and a history your legal and operations teams can act on.

  • Every finding cites a specific statutory passage, verified against the source text
  • Support-ticket text is redacted before analysis; your store is never modified
  • Escalation to qualified counsel is built into the workflow, not left to chance

The platform

One workspace for risks, evidence, and history.

Legal, operations, and commerce teams work from the same review. Each surface is designed to be read quickly and verified independently.

How it works

From storefront to a reviewable, cited finding.

Reviews run on demand against your public storefront and, optionally, your support tickets. Nothing is written back to your store or your help desk.

  1. 1

    Define storefront and markets

Point Seel at your domain and choose the jurisdictions in scope. A review cannot request a market the legal corpus cannot ground.

  2. 2

    Capture the surfaces

Terms, policies, listings, and checkout copy are captured as evidence. Support tickets, if included, are redacted first.

  3. 3

    Review against primary sources

Each checkpoint is analyzed against retrieved statutory text. A grounding gate rejects any finding whose citation does not resolve.

  4. 4

    Triage and follow up

Your team works items from Open to Resolved, exports the PDF report, and involves qualified counsel where legal judgment is required.

Built-in guardrails

Conservative by design. Enforced in code, not in prompts.

Compliance work needs outputs you can defend. These constraints are implemented in the engine itself so they hold on every review, every export, and every page of every report.

Retrieval-grounded only

Every legal assertion traces to a passage retrieved from the bundled corpus of official texts. The model is never the source of law.

Grounding gate

Never asserts “compliant”

Findings can only be flagged for risk, routed for human review, or reported as no issue detected within scope. A “compliant” result is unrepresentable.

Status model

Citation integrity checks

A digit guard rejects any excerpt that silently alters a statutory figure, such as a notice period or a threshold, against the source text.

Digit guard

Counsel escalation is first-class

High-severity, low-confidence, or dossier-grounded findings are automatically marked for escalation to qualified counsel.

Automatic escalation

PII minimized before analysis

Support-ticket text is redacted deterministically before anything reaches the model. Only redacted text is used downstream.

Redaction on by default

Mandatory disclaimer surface

One shared component renders the informational-only disclaimer on the portal, the JSON export, and every page of the PDF. It cannot be omitted.

Every output path

Coverage

Coverage is driven by the corpus, not by marketing.

The supported jurisdiction list is built from the legal sources actually held in the corpus. Each market is labeled with the depth of grounding available, and that label flows through to the confidence of every finding.

Full statutory text

Binding citations

The corpus holds the operative text of the statutes and regulations. Findings cite named sections directly.

European Union framework15 sourcesFull text
United Kingdom11 sourcesFull text
Canada12 sourcesFull text

Includes consumer-rights, distance-selling, privacy, marketing-disclosure, and warranty instruments from official publishers such as EUR-Lex, legislation.gov.uk, the US Code and CFR, and the Justice Laws Website.

Dossier-level coverage

Lower confidence

The corpus holds the law title, official URL, and quoted excerpts, but not the full operative text. Findings grounded here are automatically lower-confidence and escalated to counsel.

27 EU member states. Country summaries and case-law materials are kept in a separate, clearly labeled auxiliary namespace and are never used to back a finding.

Reporting

A report your counsel can verify line by line.

Every finding carries evidence, severity, confidence, and a citation to a specific statutory passage with its official URL. Export as PDF for review or as structured JSON for your own systems.

  • PDF report

Branded, paginated, and carrying the disclaimer on every page. Suitable for sharing with outside counsel.

  • Structured JSON export

The same findings, statuses, and citations as data, ready for your ticketing or GRC tooling.

  • Official source links

Each citation links to the official publisher so a reviewer can confirm the provision at the source.

Security & operations

Read-only by design. Controlled access by default.

Compliance Agency observes your public storefront. It does not change your store, reply to your customers, or write back to your help desk.

Invite-only access

Accounts are provisioned by Seel. Sign-in is restricted to invited users, with terms acceptance recorded per user.

Redaction before analysis

Personal data in support tickets is removed by a deterministic pass that does not depend on the model.

No auto-remediation

Seel never edits your storefront, publishes replies, or changes a policy. Your team decides what to do with each item.

Verifiable outputs

Every citation resolves to an official source URL, so any finding can be independently checked by your counsel.

Frequently asked

Questions from legal and operations teams.

Is this legal advice or a compliance certification?
No. Compliance Agency provides technology-enabled informational support. It identifies potential risks, shows the relevant rules and evidence, and recommends when to involve qualified counsel. It never asserts that a storefront is compliant, and it is not a law firm.
Where do the legal sources come from?
From a curated corpus of official publications: EUR-Lex, legislation.gov.uk, the US Code and Code of Federal Regulations, agency guidance, and Canada’s Justice Laws Website, among others. Each source is tracked with its official URL and its depth of coverage, and every citation links back to the publisher.
What happens when a market is only partially covered?
Markets with dossier-level coverage are clearly labeled. Findings grounded there carry lower confidence and are automatically marked for counsel escalation. A review cannot request a market the corpus cannot ground at all.
Does Seel access or change my store?
Reviews read your public storefront pages and capture them as evidence. Nothing is written to your store. If you connect support tickets, their text is redacted before analysis and there is no write-back or auto-reply.
How do teams work with the results?
Each review item moves through Open, Acknowledged, In remediation, and Resolved. Review history shows what changed between reviews, and the PDF report and JSON export carry the same findings for counsel or internal tooling.
